Amazon.com Product Description:
Chic, dependable, and ultra-intuitive, the GoGear SA9200 MP3 player lets you enjoy the world of digital music anywhere, anytime. The compact device measures a mere 1.81 by 3.45 by 0.35 inches (W x H x D), making it small enough to fit in a pocket or purse with ease. Yet its 2 GB of built-in flash memory stores up to 1,000 songs, so you can listen to all your favorite MP3 or WMA tracks while working out or commuting. And thanks to the 1.7-inch color LCD screen--which offers a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels--you can also share up to 560 JPEG photos with friends in slide-show format, complete with a custom soundtrack in the background.

The GoGear SA9200 is a breeze to control thanks to the sensory touchpad, which lets you navigate through hundreds of songs easily and smoothly--or one at a time--in just a few seconds. The scroll key senses your finger movements on the touchpad and adjusts the speed to your navigation through the menus or tracks accordingly. An enlarged alphabetical letter, meanwhile, helps you keep track of your position in the menu while scrolling for songs and artists. As a result, you know exactly when to release your finger from the touchpad. The device even lets you control playback and browse at the same time--a rarity among many MP3 players.

Another handy feature is the unit's PlaysForSure compatibility, which guarantees a wide choice of online music stores and synchronizes your collection easily with Windows Media Player. And audio-centric listeners will dig the GoGear SA9200's variety of equalizer settings--you can choose from classic, dance, electronica, hip-hop, lounge, pop, R&B, rock, spoken word, or custom--and the SRS WOW bass enhancement. Other details include a soft fabric pouch, a USB 2.0 interface (cable included), and support for ID3 tagging.

The GoGear SA9200, which runs for up to 14 hours per charge of its lithium-polymer battery, is backed by a one-year warranty.

Customer Reviews

great player
this has been an awesome little mp3 player. i bought it for my 9 yr old son and its simple enough he has had no trouble using it while still be sofisticated enough that I'm buying second one for me!! The only thig we have had a problem with has been the photos it says they are on the player when i connect it to the computer but wont come up on the player. I havent had a lot of time to try and fix this but I'm confident we will figure it out. has an awesome battery life and very clear screen.

No disk-mode, no support Vista
Well, I want to use this device like USB memory disk drive (G: M: etc by using file Explorer) but is not possible. Under Win2k? forget it!
Under Vista? no -Philips says about this "keep using WinXP". Only works with WMP10 for syncr the music. None of my friends are using WMP!!
Now the device is stilized, good design, no screensaver, the sound goes some low-volume. I cant found a function to advance fast or jump/tab into a large mp3 track. I like some >1 hour Dj sets and dont know how to jump from minute 5 to minute 40 (I mean jump or do tab of 5 minutes o less).
The SRS Wow feature is bad, sound like small old speaker!

MP3
Good product. I think it's a much better buy than the IPod, because these competeing products do a lot to make up for the fact that they aren't mac. It is strong built, more capacity for the price, really easy to use. Perfect for anyone who wants an MP3 and not just an "IPod".

Shuts Off
I bought this player almost a year ago. I used it mainly for gym use. About a month or two ago, I noticed it just shutting off for no reason. I then relized that everytime I tapped the top of the mp3 player, its shut off. It has gotten so bad that I cant even use it at the gym unless I move VERY SLOWLY! so it doesnt aggrivate it and shuts off...VERY FRUSTRATING! Customer service said they would replace it, but going through UPS and sending it to them and THEN taking 4-6 weeks?..I think I may just go with the smallest I-pod for the gym next time. I am thinking if I wasnt using it for gym use, that it may have lasted longer...

Great MP3 Player
I was looking for a mp3 player to bring to my desk for work, listen to in the car and something I could use while I was on the treadmill at the gym. This mp3 player is perfect for my needs. I really didn't want to spend the money on an ipod, and I didn't need videos and other stuff. I just wanted music. The 2GB memory is more than enough for me, and it does what I need it to do, play my songs to keep me occupied during work, driving or running. The ear buds that came with it are uncomfortable to me. But that could be me, I'm not a fan of the ear buds, I'd rather have regular headphones. Windows media player is a bit cumbersome, and you have to be patient the first couple times you make a playlist to get used to it, but I've made 3 playlists I have over 170 songs on the player and I haven't had to go back and do it again unless I want more songs. It's a great mp3 player, and would recommend it for anyone who was looking for one.
