Amazon.com Product Description:
Compact and highly portable, Logitech's mm32 speakers are the perfect travel companion for your iPod or MP3 player. The mm32 system centers around a built-in iPod cradle that charges and syncs all "dockable" iPods, including the iPod 3G and 4G, iPod video, iPod mini, iPod photo, iPod nano, and iPod shuffle. The system's matching quad neodymium microdrivers, meanwhile, produce crisp, satisfying audio whether you're listening in a hotel room or lounging at the park. And to make things easier while traveling, Logitech added metal grilles to protect the drivers while throwing in a hard- shell carrying case.

Other details include a sleek black housing and an auxiliary input that's compatible with older iPods, MP3 players, and any other device with a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack. The mm32 speaker system, which runs on either four AA batteries (not included) or AC power (adapter included), is backed by a two-year warranty on parts and labor.

Customer Reviews

Ok for the price - sound quality the only real backdraw.
The design is nice, but the IPod does not connect at the base - there is a cable that connects at the top. Other than that everything works like expected and doesn't look cheap. The only backdraw is the sound quality.. it is not what you want for everyday listening and it also won't be loud enough for a bigger party or something of the sort. It is OK for the price though.

great deal for the money
i have a bose sound dock downstairs and wanted a set of portable speakers for the upstairs. these were perfect. plugged into wall, easy to move and for what they are used for (extra speakers in a bedroom) the sound quality is more than adequate. excellent product for the money.

Garbage
I bought this for traveling with my iPod and had very low expectation. Should be low cost, small and not totally flimsy.
The size and premise of these speakers are exactly what I was looking for. But the sound, oh the sound, is complete garbage.

I wasn't expecting much, not a lot of power, and not top shelf sound definition, but these start distorting the bass at about 25% of their max output, forcing you to turn the sound way down. You can get better sound and more juice out of those unpowered cheap speakers you can find anywhere. A work around is to cut off the extreme bass with EQ. but couldn't they figure that out in the design stages?
If you care about sound quality do yourself a favor and skip this.

Love this item, works great, sound is awsome. Charge it, and take it with me onthe weekends. Love it

For Size and Portability

What you need to know

--This is not a docking station
--It is simply 2 speakers held together by a plastic holder
--The IPOD does not lock in to any prongs, simply rests loosely in the plastic cradle
--You can use 4 AA batteries with no AC, however your IPOD does not charge
--Comes with an AC adapter, so you can choose this method, although there are better choices if you plan on using AC power
--If you wish to simul-charge your IPOD, you must supply your own IPOD charger cable and slip it under this device (it locks in to a small plastic inset)
--You can charge your IPOD while you are playing music
--Device is weighty and feels pretty solid
--Important, there is a hidden headset jack that must be used to play your IPOD-this is NOT SHOWN on any of the pictures, this seems to be deceptive
--Sound is respectable for the size, portability and price

CONS

--The black headset jack. This device would be pretty darn good if it had a bottom loading mechanism to play music
--Very little bass and the deeper sounds are just about lost, but again pretty good for the price
--Remember to charge your IPOD otherwise you'll have to break out your cable

POSITIVES
--It's profile, I can hide it on my bathroom vanity and when I'm not using it virtually disappears
--I can pick it up and move it to another room--the battery power is nice and AA batteries make it easy to supply
--I think it is the best device in it's price range, simply b.c it is so small AND has the battery only option which was critical to me

Summary:
So if size and using battery power are the most important aspects for you, this is a good choice. I needed something I could use for about 30 minutes a day while I was getting ready for work. This little gadget lays across the back of my vanity and you can hardly tell it's there. It's a bit of a pain to plug in the headset jack, and certainly it is not attractive, but again it's profile was so appealing. I looked at some of the nicer sets, but many came with a transformer or sub woofer, and I wanted something I could stick a few batteries in and pick up and move around if I needed to.
