Great sound and cool retro look!
This is the perfect size for my kitchen counter (just 8" long) and it fits my funky retro decor. The sound is wonderful and the FM reception is perfect. I don't listen to AM radio so the antenna issue isn't a problem for me, but I see how it can be very annoying and cumbersome to deal with. I have a 30GB video ipod (5G) and I love the fact that it charges it anytime it's in the dock, even if the unit is turned off. So convenient! And amazon's price is the best I could find anywhere.

Great Value
Impressive sound from such a small unit. I use it in my bedroom and it fills the room with sound. I have my ipod set to alarm function and wake up to my playlists. Would buy again and bought another as a gift for my mother!

Retro radio meets the iPod
I had to give this radio a try given the price. I live in a small apartment and am trying own fewer things. So I decided that I really just needed a radio/ipod player and could skip all the other features that make most players cost more.
Pros:
- The sound is incredible. Really. The full dynamic range seems to represented very well. It goes louder than I would ever want to play it, and I don't notice any static/noise when playing from the ipod. From the radio, yes, but I think that's just the radio.
- Small footprint.
- Few dials.
- Feels solid and looks great.
- The ipod (nano) feels secure on its perch even when I'm playing with the control.
- No remote to lose.
Cons:
- Huge adapter.
- No presets. Not a problem for me, but might be annoying to others.

simple & nice
if you love old fashion items this is your radio. very small, very simple functionalities (neither control remote nor equalizer) but with aux input and good sound. miss something? should work with batteries.

Disappointed
I bought this product for my office. After reading some of the reviews here I thought I had found the perfect AM/FM radio/iPod player. I'd hoped to play music at low to medium volume and perhaps listen to talk radio on occasion. Upon its arrival I opened the unit and was satisfied with its appearance. Unfortunately, once turned on it became immediately clear that the sound quality was not what I was hoping for. I had to turn the volume knob up 1/3 of the way before I could hear anything and when I raised the volume a bit more the speaker began to crack. This was with classical music but I experimented and the same happened with all types of music. I tried the FM and AM reception and it wasn't bad but the poor sound quality really overshadowed the unit.
